We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Inspector to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our guest rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. The Housekeeping Room Inspector will oversee the work of the housekeeping staff and ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned, maintained, and ready for guest arrival.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met, including bedding, furniture, bathroom, amenities, and general room appearance.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or room damages to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance department.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff, ensuring they adhere to hotel standards.
- Provide feedback to housekeeping staff on performance and quality of work.
- Communicate any special guest requests, preferences, or requirements to housekeeping staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas.
- Ensure that all required cleaning supplies and tools are available for the team.
- Conduct inventory checks of linens and other housekeeping supplies.
- Ensure guest safety by reporting and correcting any safety hazards in guest rooms or public areas.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Inspector or similar role in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify areas that need improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper handling procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically able to walk long distances, lift objects, and bend as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in hospitality preferred.
