Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing inquiries courteously
- Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance customer shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Manage inventory levels through stock checks and reporting discrepancies
- Ensure adherence to phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Supervise or assist junior team members when applicable, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Promote store promotions and sales to maximize revenue opportunities
Experience
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus but not required
- Ability to perform upselling techniques and product demonstrations confidently
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail operations is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills essential for engaging with customers both in person and over the phone
