The Corporate Materials Manager provides enterprise-level leadership, governance, and enablement for Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) across assigned plants and business units. This role governs standards, systems, and performance expectations, ensuring consistent materials planning, inventory control, and customer service outcomes. The position partners with plant MP&L leaders but does not own day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate MP&L (Accountable)
Bilingual – English & Spanish.
Ability to travel internationally (minimum 25%).
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5 years of progressive experience in MP&L operations within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in MP&L processes, ERP system functions, MS Excel.
APICS certification preferred.

This role governs standards, systems, and performance expectations, ensuring consistent materials planning, inventory control, and customer service outcomes. The position partners with plant MP&L leaders but does not own day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate MP&L (Accountable)
- Govern enterprise MP&L policies, standards, and best practices for portfolio of plants.
- Own MP&L process design, system governance, and ERP standards; ensure data integrity and consistent use across plants.
- Lead enterprise initiatives including ERP improvements, inventory optimization, warehouse management, regional/business unit capacity management, and customer scorecards.
- Review MP&L performance at a portfolio level and drive corrective actions for systemic issues.
- Establish expectations for supplier scheduling, freight, logistics, and offsite warehouse strategies for portfolio plants.
- Develop MP&L capability through training frameworks, standard work, and functional talent development.
- Provide functional leadership, coaching, and escalation support to plant MP&L teams.
- Support plants with complex material constraints, supplier disruptions, capacity challenges, program transfers, and new customer launches.
- Assist with selection, onboarding, and development of plant MP&L personnel.
- Audit plant adherence to MP&L standards and support continuous improvement plans.
- Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, and IT to align material strategies with production plans, customer commitments, and financial objectives.
- Provide governance and guidance for inventory reporting, materials-related controls, and month-end close processes.
- Serve as a core member of the Corporate Materials / OPEX leadership community.
