Woodbridge Clinton Senior Living is hiring a full time Activities Director to join our team.?The qualified applicant for this position should be a self-motivated professional able to work with elderly residents with creativity and enthusiasm. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess each individual resident to determine activity interests and needs.
- Provide therapeutic activities which meet the individual interests and needs of each resident.
- Provide activities which meet the physical, social, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual needs of residents while providing an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment.
- Will provide recreational activities that provide stimulation while promoting and enhancing the resident’s physical and mental health.
- There shall be at least one different structured recreational activity provided daily each week that will accommodate resident’s needs, interests, and capabilities as indicated in the ICP’s.
- Will provide age-appropriate activities.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of recreational programs daily.
- Responsible for obtaining and maintaining recreational supplies.
- Maintain a monthly schedule which will be posted by the first of every month. The calendar must include dates, times, and locations of activities
- Will chart monthly on resident’s involvement in activities.
- May be required to perform other task that are asked by management team.
- Required to stay alert and attentive during all scheduled work hours.
- Maintain good public relations with the community by contacting and informing local clubs, businesses, schools, etc. of center services and goals.
??Qualifications and Education Requirements?:
- High school diploma, GED
- A minimum of 2 years experience working with the elderly and appropriate activity interventions; knowledge of regulations affecting resident activities.
- Ability to work with wide range of persons
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet requirements of the job.
