Woodard & Curran is growing, and we are looking for qualified Wastewater Collection Systems Operators in Bartow, FL! Our Operators participate in the operations and maintenance of our Wastewater Collection System and/or Wastewater Pumping Stations, which may include odor control systems, STEP systems, Vacuum Sewer Stations, and Grinder Pumps. You may also operate water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role. You will perform skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing and controlling the functioning of pump station and plant equipment and processes.

Responsibilities:

Regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager. Participates in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours. Will be required to respond to emergencies or unpredicted situations.

• Experience working in a sewer collections or water distribution environment preferred.
• A valid State of Florida motor vehicle operator's license.
• A Water Distribution Operator or Waste Collections license preferred.
• Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation' and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment and Collection Systems.
• Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in sewer collections and water distribution. 
• Knowledge of computer applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
