Wood is currently searching for a talented Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to support our Structural Integrity Management group in the Houston, TX office.
The Engineer will assist the group personnel in developing and delivering work scopes, and fill a seller-doer role on an established team.

The successful candidate must have a reputation in their field for quality project delivery and client satisfaction. The candidate will be proficient in applicable codes and standards. The candidate will be knowledgeable in related engineering and science fields for management and coordination purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage scope, schedule and budget throughout the life of a project
- Perform consulting, structural assessments and inspections, report writing,
- Client interaction for business development, presentations and consulting
- Coordinate with design teams to define work scope, schedule and budget
- Lead preparation of written proposals and pricing in subsea structures group
- Lead and coordinate preparation of bid and construction documents such as drawings, calculations, specifications, etc.
- Contact vendors; research literature and regulatory requirements; prepare or direct designs
- Direct, oversee and review the work of subcontractors and / or company employees – serve as lead technical reviewer
- Interact with specialists in other technical practice areas in support of multi-disciplinary projects
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow company safety standards, engineering processes and quality procedures

Expected
- Master of Engineering degree in Civil or Structural is required
- Must have minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in structural integrity engineering service delivery
- Strong working knowledge of integrity management program development, structural reliability analysis of oil & gas infrastructure, fire and blast response analysis and fitness for service
- Knowledge of: Oil and Gas and mining markets in the US region, including delivery of technical SIM services and possess a broad industry network
- Experience working for Consultative type organization and managing technical delivery teams
- Highly intelligent with creative flair and strong strategic and analytical capability.
- Results orientated and focused in the execution of predefined objectives.
- Strong organizational and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to lead and work well in teams as well as mentor junior staff
- Familiarization with Wood and industry regulations highly desired
