Responsibilities
- Uses advanced technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems and to complete any project tasks with minimal guidance and direction
- Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks
- Scope Management and Planning
- Quality control of all deliverables within the scope of Electrical
- Interface with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project discipline
- Develop select engineering deliverables including philosophies, reports, specifications, calculations, data sheets, and technical requisitions
- Assist in preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals
- Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external service providers or contractors
- Work with electrical engineers and designers to provide electrical design and deliverables to a variety of projects
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Registered Professional Engineer in one or multiple states preferred
- Prefer 10 to 25 years’ experience with design for Heavy Industrial Installations
- 10 years of experience in Chemical, Forest Industries, Pharma/Life Sciences, or Power Generation projects
- Perform Electrical Design duties associated with project scope of work
- Experience with Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection & Control
- Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and recommended practices used in North America & Canada
- Strong ethical standards. High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative. Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable
