# Heavy Equipment Operator

We are looking for a dependable and experienced **Heavy Equipment Operator** to join our team. This position involves operating heavy equipment in a busy wood waste and recycling environment, handling logs, brush, wood debris, mulch, and other materials.

## Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, screeners, dozers and other materialhandling equipment
• Load and unload trucks and trailers
• Move, sort, stockpile, and process wood waste and other materials
• Feed grinders and other processing equipment as required
• Maintain organized and safe material piles and work areas
• Perform daily pretrip/equipment inspections
• Check fluids, grease equipment, and report maintenance or repair needs
• Work safely around trucks, ground personnel, customers, and other equipment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist with general yard duties as needed

## Qualifications

• Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred
• Experience with wheel loaders and excavators strongly preferred
• Wood recycling, land clearing, logging, mulch, aggregate, or similar experience is a plus
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment in an active yard environment
• Good judgment and awareness when working around people and other equipment
• Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
