What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier Specialist position at Wood Waste Management?
This position requires an individual who is self-motivated and can confidently manage a POS system without constant oversight. Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask and communicate with other departments are a must. Shift time is from 6:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Wood Waste Management offers a recycling service for landscapers and homeowners for organic debris. We take in products such as yard debris, clean wood, dirt, and concrete. We also supply outgoing rock, bark, and soil products.
In this role, you will be responsible for will be learning about the products we carry and be knowledgeable about the services we offer for disposal. You will be responsible for scheduling deliveries, keeping a clean and tidy workspace, providing positive and friendly customer service, and efficiently processing sales on the POS.
Qualifications
- Capable to work a 10-hour shift (6:30 am start time)
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Ability to keep a balanced cash drawer
- Reliable transportation
- Strong customer service skills
- Maintain a tidy work environment
- Phone etiquette, able to take messages
- Previous Cashier/Sales Associate experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Google Docs, and proficient cash handling
