A growing family-owned business is seeking a proactive Administrative & Bookkeeping Specialist to be the operational backbone of our two locations!No two days are the same! This position is perfect for a highly adaptable person who is excited to learn new skills. We will train the right candidate!About Wood Street CabinetWe are a family-owned business with over 35 years of experience providing quality Kitchen Design, Custom Cabinetry, and Refacing for the Chicagoland area. We pride ourselves on Exceptional Kitchen Design and Uncompromising Quality Cabinetry, handmade by local craftsmen right here in Joliet, Illinois. When you join our team, you become part of a business recognized for its stability, trustworthy workmanship, and dedication to customer support.What You'll Be Doing (The Specialist Focus):This role is a dynamic mix of crucial administrative tasks, with a strong emphasis on financial oversight and general office management.Core Specialization (Bookkeeping & Office Management):Lead daily office operations, filing, data entry, and record maintenance.Handle QuickBooks tasks: tracking expenses, managing invoices, and assisting with financial records.Manage office supplies, inventory, and organizational flow.Reception & Client Interaction:Serve as the welcoming first impression for clients and visitors.Professionally manage and direct all incoming phone calls, emails, and correspondence.Maintain accurate records using customer management software (CRM).Ensure the Mokena showroom is tidy and presentable.The Details:Work Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Plus, one Saturday a month (11:00 AM - 5:00 PM).Location Split: You will create a flexible schedule, typically working 3 days at the Joliet Corporate Office (near New Lenox border) and 2 days at the Mokena Showroom.Travel: Both locations are conveniently located off of I-80. Mileage is reimbursed for travel between offices!Who We're Looking For (Skills & Qualities):Required:Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to problem solve and manage time effectively across multiple tasks.Must be extremely comfortable with computers & technology.Driver's License (Required).Specialist Skills (We Will Train If Needed!):Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop.Experience with CRM software, Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive).Knowledge of servers or credit card processors.Previous experience with social media or website management.Benefits Include:Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time OffIf you enjoy having a specialized, varied role, love using your organizational skills for financial and administrative leadership, and are eager to learn and grow within a respected family-owned business, we encourage you to apply!
