🛠️ Job Summary
The Yard Foreman is responsible for organizing and maintaining the warehouse and lumber yard while leading a team to ensure accurate inventory, efficient loading, and top-notch customer service. This role includes coordinating deliveries, operating forklifts, training team members, and maintaining safety standards throughout the yard.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to contractors and DIY customers
- Supervise and train yard staff to ensure productivity and safety
- Communicate with the buying team to maintain appropriate product levels
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Build loads for delivery and ensure accurate, damage-free shipments
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- Deliver materials to job sites and offload using equipment when necessary
- Keep the yard clean, safe, and well-organized
- Photo document deliveries and report discrepancies
- Maintain delivery vehicles and coordinate repairs as needed
- Process and track damage claims and returns in a timely manner
✅ Qualifications

Valid Class E driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs and use proper lifting techniques
- Comfortable operating heavy machinery and power equipment
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Experience in warehouse or yard operations preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
Salary : $17 - $20
