The Operations Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of power tools, mechanical equipment, and building systems. Key duties include:
- Using hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, as well as precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
- Performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate effectively.
- Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassembling equipment.
- Determining how to correct mechanical problems by checking repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Obtaining parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or retrieving them from the storeroom.
- Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
