The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of power tools, mechanical equipment, and building systems. The key duties include:
- Utilizing hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, as well as precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate effectively.
- Replacing defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassembling equipment.
- Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them by consulting repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Procuring parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or retrieving them from the storeroom.
- Installing, assembling, or repairing wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
