This role focuses on dimensional inspection, microscope-based analysis, and product certification in a fast-paced production setting. The technician will work closely with quality and operations teams to ensure products meet internal and customer specifications.
Compensation and Hours for the Laboratory Technician
- Full-Time, Onsite
- $22 to $25 per hour based on experience
- 1st and 2nd shift openings available
- 2nd shift will train on 1st shift for approximately 2 to 3 months
- Temp to hire
Requirements of the Laboratory Technician
- Prior experience in manufacturing quality, inspection, or lab-based work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and tolerances
- Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with microscope inspection or lab equipment preferred
- Experience in metals, machining, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Familiarity with quality systems or inspection documentation is a plus
Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician
- Perform dimensional, visual, and microscope-based inspections on parts at various stages of production
- Evaluate products against blueprints and tolerance requirements to ensure compliance
- Support customer certification inspections and quality-critical orders
- Analyze material structure using microscope equipment to identify defects, porosity, or anomalies
- Record and document inspection results accurately within required systems
- Use inspection equipment including manual gauges and vision systems as needed
- Complete product and process audits based on established quality procedures
- Support quality investigations and corrective action efforts as required
- Assist with sorting, rework, and production support activities when needed
- Maintain inspection equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance
- Work with quality and operations teams to support production goals, reduce scrap, and meet customer expectations
- Assist with system transactions related to quality processes when required
