Job Summary
Major Responsibilities of Powder Coat Painter (Essential Functions of the Job):
- Prepare parts for paint, load and unload parts on line.
- Apply powder coat to correct thickness.
- Utilize a mil thickness testing gauge to verify accuracy of applied powder.
- Inspect parts to ensure appropriate amount of powder is applied.
- Maintain paint equipment.
- Accurately record production hours and indirect labor hours.
- Basic understand of inventory, routing, and job order by utilizing the computer system.
- Clean equipment daily and as needed.
- Able to lift 50 LBS from floor to waist
- Able to stand 8-10 hours per shift.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Work in assembly as needed.
- Willingly perform other assigned work.
- Maintain Safety Policies (Safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes).
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Complete training as required.
- Willingness to participate in a Continuous Improvement environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
Experience: Previous Powder Coating experience - Preferred
Knowledge: Knowledge of powder coating practices and principles. - Preferred
Skills: Mechanical abilities. Organization skills.
