As a Day Habilitation Professional, you will work closely with individuals to provide support, guidance, and assistance in their daily activities. Your role will involve implementing programs, fostering independence, and promoting social engagement within a supportive environment.
Duties:
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day habilitation setting.
- Assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care tasks, and medication administration as needed.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Engage individuals in social activities and community outings to enhance their quality of life.
-Maintain accurate records.
- Support individuals in developing communication skills and fostering independence.
- Demonstrate proficiency to facilitate communication with individuals who are non-verbal or have limited verbal abilities.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols preferred.
- Ability to drive and transport individuals as needed for community outings.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
