What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clean Line Technician Gas Turbines position at WOOD GROUP PRATT & WHITNEY?
SUMMARY
· Responsible for performing various cleanings on component parts of various engines including GG3, GG4, GG8 and Free Turbine components while following the procedures set by the WGP&W Employee Handbook, including Environmental Heath and Safety (EH&S) using Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and the Pratt & Whitney Standard Practices Manual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but are not limited to the following:
· Each Clean Line Technician is required to follow and comply with the SPOP description pertaining to the particular part being worked. All SPOP descriptions are located in the Pratt & Whitney Standard Practice Manual.
· Care must be taken when handling customer’s parts within the facility and while working around them.
· All of WGPW’s EH&S Standards will be followed, including PPE.
· Clean engine parts in accordance with customer requirements and the Standard Practice Manual.
· Pressure testing detail parts as required I.A.W. WGPW standards and the Pratt & Whitney engine manuals.
· Perform fluid checks for chemical concentration as required.
· Top off all cleaning tanks at the end of each shift with water or applicable chemical.
· Clean equipment within the department in order to prevent unnecessary maintenance and to display a safe and clean work environment within the facility.
· Be on time for work and work the full shift.
· Complete work within a timely manner.
· Report all labor accurately on daily time sheet.
· All employees shall follow the personnel and guidelines set forth in the Employee Handbook.
· Parts received in the department will be dealt with on a first-in first-out basis unless directed by supervision and/or the daily priority listing provided by the Production Control department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· High School diploma or equivalent is required.
· Additional specialized training in the use of the Pratt & Whitney Standard Practices Manual, including but limited to the knowledge of SPOP 203, 208, 209, 218, 258, and training in EH&S using PPE.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Ability to read and write English, interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
· Ability to calculate time and ratios associated with chemical concentration, strengths and volume.
REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to solve practical problems using pre-existing standards.
· Ability to interpret a variety of written and oral instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· Fork Truck License is recommended, however not required
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Must have a high level of manual dexterity.
· Must be able to read and interpret documents and use PWA standard practice manuals.
· Must be able to effectively and safely use manufacturer’s special tooling and lift and turn equipment.
PHISICAL DEMANDS
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and use hands to handle parts.
· The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
· The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working with hazardous and Non-hazardous chemicals with tank temperatures ranging up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
· In addition, the use of PPE is mandatory when applicable.
