SUMMARY
Responsible for performing various blending and assembly operations in accordance with WGPW established methods and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position includes but is not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities.
Cleaning parts by hand using brushes, scotch brite, wire wheels, varsol and other various cleaning solvents and abrasive blast methods.
Removing broken bolts and hardware.
Chasing threads and installing heli coils or threaded inserts as required.
Modification work such as blending, deburring and polishing.
Disassemble and reassemble engine components.
Removing and replacing airseals, nut plates, housings and other miscellaneous hardware using riveting equipment. riveting and replacement of nut plates and bushings.
- Use and interpretation of appropriate technical data, including but not limited to travelers, blue prints and other technical data as provided.
Maintains a safe and clean work area and adheres to all housekeeping requirements. Follows all safety procedures and rules and properly wears all safety protective equipment as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school or equivalent plus one year of related experience.
- Previous experience in the use of hand tools, air tools riveting procedures.
- Experience in the overhaul and repair of aviation components is a strong plus.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions or be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, solvents, and oils.
