Position Overview
Wood Family Dealerships is seeking a motivated, high-integrity Sales Consultant to join our growing team. As a primary point of contact for our customers, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the vehicle acquisition process with transparency and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers arriving at the dealership and proactively manage online and phone inquiries to schedule appointments.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct deep-dive discovery to understand customer needs, lifestyle, and budget; provide expert recommendations from our inventory.
- Product Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of vehicle features, trim levels, safety ratings, and emerging automotive technology (including EV and hybrid systems).
- Demonstration & Test Drives: Explain vehicle mechanics and technology during professional demonstrations and ride-alongs.
- Pipeline Management: Utilize the Dealership Management System (DMS) and CRM to track leads, follow up with prospects, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Negotiation & Closing: Work closely with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department and Sales Managers to present transparent pricing and financing options.
- Post-Sale Support: Coordinate the final delivery process, ensuring the vehicle is pristine and the customer is fully educated on their new purchase.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service is preferred; automotive sales experience is a plus but not required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on active listening.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly learn CRM software and digital retailing tools.
- Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
