Position Summary:
Responsible for providing quality customer service while serving customers at the admissions desk or concessions stand.
Required training begins in May
Hours and shifts vary between 9:00am – 9:00pm
Weekend and evening availability required

Supervision:
Supervisor- Pool Managers and Aquatics Coordinator
This position supervises- No supervisory responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Demonstrate and support all park district customer service standards.
- Greet all guests and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Admit season pass holders after viewing proper pool pass.
- Admit paying patrons and properly identify.
- Sell Pool Passes
- Perform cash handling duties, making change accurately while following cash handling procedures.
- Complete start of shift and end of shift reports
- Check patrons when entering and re-entering the pool for proper identification.
- Take inventory of food products.
- Make and sell food in the concession stand.
- Give information about pool rules and policy when requested.
- Enforce rules
- Clean designated work areas before, during and after each shift.
- Handle customers in a safe, friendly, and polite manner.
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings as requested.
- Complete necessary forms and paperwork, as requested.
- Follow district and departmental, safety, personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by Pool Manager.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Work permit required if under 16 years of age
- The ability to listen and follow directions
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- First Aid/CPR certification or ability to receive upon hire
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Subject to inside/outside environmental conditions
- Requires occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- The employee is occasionally required to, walk, crouch, bend, prolonged sitting, standing
- Flexible work schedule including days, nights, and weekends
