PCT / Acute Care / Full Time/ Nights
Delivers direct/indirect care to patients of all ages from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult to geriatric, under the delegation/direction/supervision of a physician, registered nurse, and/or licensed practical nurse. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment and performs clerical/administrative functions as assigned. Demonstrates critical thinking/clinical reasoning in decision making to assure the delivery of safe, quality, timely, compassionate, and cost-effective care to the patient populations served by the department(s)/unit(s)/area(s).Effectively communicates and collaborates both intra- and interdepartmentally with patients, families, physicians, administration and other healthcare team members. Documents accurately and in a timely manner. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; and regulatory/ accrediting body requirements.

Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) certification preferred. For Emergency Department only – current STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) or EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician Basic) certification preferred.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
- Previous neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of and demonstration of basic nursing care and treatment procedures (e.g., assisting in positioning, lifting, obtaining vital signs, obtaining weight/ height, obtaining capillary blood glucose).
- Knowledge of and demonstration of patient standards of care in assigned unit/area.
- Knowledge of infection control and blood-borne pathogen practices.
- Demonstration of effective problem solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and team work skills.
- Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication.
- Demonstration of positive customer service.
- Demonstration of ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changes in workload.
- Basic computer literacy (keyboarding; order/data entry and retrieval; word processing) required.
- Knowledge of and skill in using all instrumentation/ equipment for patient care utilized in the assigned department(s)/area(s) including but not limited to compression devices, capillary blood glucose, vital signs.

- Positioning/repositioning and following turn schedules.
