Environmental Services Supervisor / Full Time / Nights
Provides personal care and professional excellence by supervising and coordinating activities and working with cleaning crews engaged in environmental services activity. Responsible for all functions related to personnel efficiency and performances. Performs duties on the A.M. and/or the P.M. shift.
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Thoroughly instructs and trains employees in the proper use of new equipment and cleaning methods. 2. Researches updated cleaning techniques, effectively studies cost savings. 3. Attends appropriate meetings to further supervisory skills and knowledge. 4. Studies productivity and square footage. 5. Fills out performance reviews, documents areas needing improvement and areas of growth, gives filled out review to manager. 6. Performs all scheduling and assignment of duties. 7. Maintains positive communication and acts as liaison between all shifts and departments. 8. Maintains knowledge of current trends, equipment and supplies. 9. Assists manager in plans to revise and coordinate policy and standards for department. 10. Tours hospital periodically, covering assigned area to observe cleaning crew at work and to determine that instructions are followed. 11. Recommends personnel action, such as employing, transferring and disciplinary action. 12. Keeps accurate personnel data such as hours worked and attendance. 13. Effectively orders and maintains cleaning supplies, equipment and materials. Keeps accurate record or departmental activities. 14. Coordinates all departmental staff meetings and schedules all employees for Education Day. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Physical Demands and Working Conditions 1.
