WonderWorks Branson is looking for an Cashroom/Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team! Our WONDERful Accounting Assistants expertly and accurately balance tills, manage bank deposits, and train in cash register operations!
Responsibilities:
- Wraps cash and coins in preparation for requests for change and prepares and assigns tills for the day
- Verifies and balances safe contents at the beginning and end of each shift and enters denominations on the safe log
- Validates the register tills from previous day of business
- Separates, audits, and enters daily vouchers into the POS system and files
- Verifies and audits coupons, verifying coupon counts and sorting coupons by type
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- 1 year of cash-handling experience required
- High school diploma required
- Education in finance or accounting preferred
- Previous work experience in a banking, accounting, or finance role preferred
- Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather condition
- Welcome, and interact with all guests as they enter and exit the attraction
- Answer guest questions and offer assistance in a friendly manner that provides exceptional customer service.
- Accurately process transactions through a point-of-sale system including proper cash handling in a high-volume environment
- Upsell guests on additional services offered at the point of sale including combo tickets, souvenir books, and ticketed shows if applicable
- Answer phones and courteously redirect calls to the appropriate department
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Train staff on cash handling procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
