Marshmallow Sales Lead

Wondermade is looking for BIG energy, super fun people to help guests at Disney Springs discover the joy and wonder of our locally handcrafted amazing flavored marshmallows.

This isn't a regular retail or sales job Where so much of retail is reactive — waiting for a guest to initiate with you before helping those guests complete their shopping experience — this is a proactive position.

Proactive means you are the one initiating the engagement, offering samples, striking up conversation, and maintaining engagement and conversations with guests every day.

We're looking for energetic sales staff to join our small but mighty team. We're looking for dependable self-starters who want to grow with our company. Our Disney Springs store is an outdoor covered kiosk where we receive guests from all over the world, 365 days a year.

While a majority of our sales take place in English, we have a number of guests who would prefer to communicate in Spanish, so conversational Spanish is a plus.

We have full-time and part-time jobs available. We start at a base $17/hr tips which have ranged from an additional $4-$10/hr in hourly pay, plus sales-based bonuses. Weekend and holiday availability are required for this position. Full time staff receive 3 weeks PTO, as well as largely subsidized health / dental insurance. Plus staff get to eat lots of marshmallows

Couple of very important notes:

1. This is not a normal retail job. This is a sales job.

Cast members initiate and maintain engagement with guests throughout the duration of the shifts. That engagement might look like offering samples, shopping for flavors with guests, or starting and then continuing conversation with guests while they're in our space. Staff need a high degree of extroversion and self-confidence to thrive in this role.

1. As on-property partners with Disney Springs, our team members are considered "cast members", and held to Disney standards of conduct. Staff also receive reciprocal cast member benefits

About Wondermade

Internationally renowned, Wondermade has been featured everywhere from the Today Show to Buzzfeed, with marshmallow flavors like Salted Caramel, Churro, Bourbon, and Gold Champagne. Wondermade is woman-owned family business, based from our Sanford location just on the other side of Orlando.

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Initiate conversations with guests
• Maintain engagement with guests throughout shopping experience
• Assist guests in picking flavors
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Maintain retail stock levels and restock shelves as needed
• Have fun, and help coworkers and guests have fun as well

REQUIREMENTS

• Maintains positive morale and professional attitude with guests, and with teammates
• Must be able to learn how to operate the cash register
• Must be available on holidays and weekends
• Must be a team player
• Must be responsible and flexible
• Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 37 per week
