Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the point of sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling procedures with integrity
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting stock counts regularly
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Promote products through engaging demonstrations and suggest complementary items to increase sales
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting for shoppers at all times
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in grocery retail is beneficial
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory counts
