About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Strategy & Corporate Accounting Lead to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role is perfect for a young, driven professional who is passionate about media, entertainment, and technology. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly accounting close process including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Prepare monthly P&Ls with actual vs. budget and forecast for each Division/Department, and research variances as needed
- Responsible for maintaining the A/R aging and ensuring timely collection of receivables
- Maintain revenue recognition schedules based on legal agreements and relevant accounting guidance
- Work with the A/P team to ensure invoices are coded correctly and processed in a timely manner
- Assist with cash management including preparation of the cash flow (direct method) and cash forecasting
- Participate in the preparation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Respond to management questions by researching and analyzing data
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Research technical accounting issues as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of Finance or Accounting experience; Entertainment industry experience a plus
- CPA, MBA, master’s in accounting, or public accounting experience a plus
- Strong Excel and Word skills required, NetSuite experience a plus
- Detailed oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the organization
- Strong analytical skills required; along with attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team to accomplish the goals of the accounting department
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
