Linens/Accessories - Hope's Closet

This position is responsible for processing and pricing all shoes, linens, and accessories. Additionally, assist donors as they arrive.

Essential Duties

The following are the duties and responsibilities associated with the position. Reasonable accommodation will be provided, as needed.

• Must be punctual and have dependable attendance.
• Demonstrate professionalism and present a friendly, cooperative attitude towards customers, donors, and co-workers.
• Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Process and clean each item, including seasonal items, using good, better, and best pricing guidelines.
• Responsible for stock rotation in the assigned area of the sales floor, while adhering to proper storage and boxing guidelines for our seasonal items.
• Assist donors as they arrive.
• Maintain accurate records of donations and issue completed donation receipts to all donors.
• Work must be conducted safely, maintaining good housekeeping standards. Keep a well-maintained and clean work area, ensuring all aisles and pathways to fire extinguishers and exits are clear of clutter.
• Please report any security and loss prevention concerns to your manager.
• Always follow all policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned by your manager.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions

With reasonable accommodation, you must have the ability to:

• Respond to telephones, written correspondence, and other auditory and visual stimulation.
• Remain calm under stress and have the emotional and physical stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations.
• Frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, and walk.
• Frequently lift and carry items of at least 40 pounds.
• Occasionally climb stairs or inclined surfaces.

Occasionally work outside during night hours and/or inclement weather.
