The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and administrative skills, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the provision of superior patient care.This job is ideal for someone who is:Dependable - more reliable than spontaneousPeople-Oriented - enjoys interacting with people and working on group projectsAdaptable/Flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in directionDetail-Oriented - would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger pictureAutonomous/Independent - prefers working in unconventional ways or on tasks that require creativity**Key Responsibilities:**- Assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical history.- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy.- Support healthcare providers during examinations and minor office procedures.- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and exam rooms.- Administer injections and medications, perform basic lab tests, and collect specimens as needed.- Manage patient scheduling, billing, insurance verification, follow-up appointments, and accurate documentation. - Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.- Respond to patient inquiries, providing clear and compassionate assistance.- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and high standards of care.**Qualifications:**- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) accreditation preferred.- Three years of experience in an Obstetrics and Gynecology setting is advantageous.- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology.
