OB/GYN Sonographer – PRN

Location: Fort Collins & Loveland, Colorado

Clinic: Women’s Clinic of Northern Colorado

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM As Needed

Compensation: $35– $55/hour (commensurate with experience)

No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts

Position Overview:

The Women's Clinic of Northern Colorado is seeking a skilled OB/GYN Sonographer on a per-diem, as needed basis to help cover vacations on our current team. The Sonographer will perform a variety of obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound exams. This role supports physicians in the accurate diagnosis and care of our patients through expert imaging and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams and obtain accurate diagnostic images and measurements.
• Identify and document normal and abnormal anatomical structures.
• Collect relevant patient history and physical information to inform imaging.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and ensure their physical and emotional well-being throughout the exam.
• Document patient and measurement information accurately in the ultrasound reporting system.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment; ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Support quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
• Represent the mission, vision, and values of the Women’s Clinic.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Sonography program.
• Current ARDMS certification (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - RDMS) with OB/GYN credential.
• 2 years of sonography experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient in OB/GYN ultrasound procedures, including fetal anatomy scans.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Knowledge of current sonographic standards, protocols, and equipment.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal regulatory standards for diagnostic imaging.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts on-site.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to read, interpret, and document patient data and interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Manual dexterity to handle complex imaging equipment with precision.
• Ability to assist with patient mobility and operate within a clinical environment safely.
