Established, Busy OB-GYN practice (near Reston Hospital Center) looking for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA).
We offer HANDS-ON patient interaction!
Qualifications: four year college degree required, prior MA experience is preferred but WE WILL TRAIN.
This position is ideal for a recent college graduate or with plans of attending DO/MD, Physician Associate, or another healthcare graduate program. You will receive front end and back end clinical experience under an OBGYN Physician, Physician Associates, and PA students on clinical rotation from George Washington and Shenandoah University.
General Medical Assistant responsibilities include:
- Assisting Physician with clinical procedures like endometrial biopsies, IUD insertions, etc.
- Obtaining patient vital signs including manual BP
- Administering injections
- Phone triage
- Managing high-risk pregnancy care plans with MD and PA
- Assisting Physician Associates with general patient care including ultrasounds
- Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
- Scheduling appointments, Coordinating with Labor & Delivery at Reston Hospital, Running Front Desk
Starting rate is listed, can change based on experience

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
