Job Overview
Women’s Care Center is the nation’s largest pregnancy resource center—uniquely Catholic, results-driven, and committed to advancing its mission through strong business practices. Founded in South Bend in 1984, Women’s Care Center now serves 45,000 women annually through 39 centers in 12 states. Guided by a strategic vision to serve 100,000 women each year by 2032, we are opening two new centers annually to reach more women with compassionate care and the opportunity to choose life.
We are seeking a proactive, highly organized Development Assistant to serve at the center of our growing Development Team. This unique position combines support for our national team with hands-on assistance for Development Leadership based in South Bend.
What You’ll Do
Support Development Leadership in South Bend: Provide high-level administrative
support, including meeting preparation, mailings, database updates, file organization, and
special projects.
Serve as Mission Control: Act as a central resource for the Development Team nationally
by helping coordinate communication, materials, meetings, deadlines, and follow-up.
Direct Donor Stewardship: Execute thoughtful and personalized donor correspondence
via phone, email, mail and drop offs; including tax receipts, impact reports, Christmas
deliveries, donor updates, and other meaningful touches.
Process Gifts Received Centrally: All gifts received in South Bend (main mailing address
for entire organization) record gifts and coordinate with local development leadership.
Execute Donor Mailings: Coordinate volunteers and personally assist with quarterly donor
mailings from preparation through completion.
Support Events: Provide behind-the-scenes coordination and direct donor communication
to help create an excellent experience for every guest. Minimal regional travel may be
required for event-day support.
