SUMMARY

Women In Non Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER) is a nonprofit organization with a goal to train, educate and prepare women for transformative careers in the construction industry. The Program Manager provides administrative oversight for the implementation of the workforce development program aimed at preparing individuals for union careers in the building and construction trades. The person in this role will oversee two construction training programs; one based out of our Commerce Training Site [an evening co-ed program], and another based out of the LA County Training Center in Calabasas, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and oversight of the program in compliance with all grant requirements.
  • Assess program needs and develop goals and outcomes that meet the need of program participants.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of the programs.
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of data in compliance with rules and regulations.
  • As needed, assist with the planning of activities and special events for participants.
  • As needed, represent WINTER at public events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to effectively work with persons from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to monitor, assess and record participants’ progress against plan(s), make adjustments as needed.
  • Approachable, flexible, organized and ready to problem solve at a moment’s notice.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work well under pressure of a fast-paced office environment, while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • As required, attend professional development conferences, trainings, and workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced computer skills
  • Master’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Social Services or related field
  • Five (5) years’ experience managing workforce development or similar programs
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience, including setting, measuring and evaluating performance
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work in the United States

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

Bending at the waist; sitting for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; hearing and speaking to exchange information; seeing to read reports and data; and occasionally lifting – generally between 10-45 pounds.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
