Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in conducting routine examinations and procedures related to women's health.
- 50% travel for coverage if needed
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant health information.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Educate and counsel patients on various aspects of women's health, including preventive care, contraception, and reproductive health.
- Responsible for collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, giving patients injections and drawing blood.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling billing and insurance documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate and facilitate patient care.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Stay current on advancements in women's health and medical assisting practices through ongoing education and training.Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials.
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role, with a focus on women's health preferred.
- Strong passion for women's health and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols related to women's health.
- Proficient computer skills for electronic health record (EHR) management.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
