What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Tech - Pre-Surgery Unit - PRN position at Woman's Hospital?

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be currently enrolled in a registered nurse program at an accredited school of nursing.
- Must currently be enrolled in the equivalent of the junior year of nursing school and participating in a clinical rotation.
Responsibilities of the Nurse Tech position include but are not limited to:
- Supports the nursing staff by performing routine clerical and patient care activities and assigned tasks within the scope of his/her training.
- Obtaining Preop weights.
- Surgical Skin prep cleanse and shaving.
- Assisting patients with incentive spirometer.
- Accuchecks
- Collecting lab specimens
- Vital signs/assists with post-surgery recovery and assisting to the bathroom
- Performs other duties as assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.

Hours
Required to work at least one 4-hour shift per week.
Pay
$14.18 - $20.03; plus applicable PRN and shift differentials
