We are looking for a skilled and detailed-oriented Plating Lab Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility for a Plating Lab Technician is to ensure proper function of our production lines by conducting daily checks and maintaining required parameters. This role involves but is not limited to monitoring various metrics such as pH, temperature, and chemical concentration, to ensure quality and safety in the electroplating process.
Qualifications
  • Previous laboratory or plating industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling chemicals.
  • Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily temperature and pH checks; adjust plating baths to maintain optimal chemical balance.
  • Analyze plating solution concentrations and prepare chemical additions as needed.
  • Conduct hull cell testing to evaluate plating bath performance and quality.
  • Perform seal and wax analysis to verify coating integrity and effectiveness.
  • Record, analyze, and report test results promptly.
  • Assist production staff with troubleshooting plating processes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
