• Managing foster care cases
• Supporting permanency planning
• Working with birth parents, foster parents, and relative caregivers
• Coordinating with DHHS, courts, and community partners
• Advocating for children’s needs
• Attending required meetings and court-related activities
• Completing documentation accurately and on time
• Responding to urgent needs when they arise

Total Performance-Based Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
This enhanced bonus reflects the credentialing, experience, and immediate impact pre-certified professionals bring to the program.

- $4,000 at 1 year
- $5,000 at 2 years
Foster Care Supervisor
Total Performance-Based Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

Bonus Eligibility Requirements
Sign-on bonus payments are contingent upon meeting established performance expectations, including maintaining compliance with state-mandated foster care metrics, caseload standards, agency policies, documentation requirements, and overall job performance.

Qualifications:What You Need to Apply – Minimum Qualifications:
You qualify if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice, or another behavioral or social science field consistent with Michigan DHHS licensing standards
- Meets Michigan licensing and contractual experience requirements for the position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License (if required for the role)
What Success Looks Like:
• Following court orders and agency policies
• Maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
• Acting as a mandated reporter under Michigan law
• Keeping records secure and up to date
• Participating in required training and quality assurance activities
• Being available to respond to urgent needs on a 24-hour basis, as required
