Key Responsibilities
The Surveyor - Thermal Coal Operations will be responsible for:
- Routine placement of survey sights underground and on the surface
- Performing CAD-assisted drafting
- Conducting underground check surveys as needed
- Assisting with layout, design, and installation of various construction activities
- Preparing monthly mining projections maps
The Surveyor will work split or extended shifts periodically and must have one plus years of surveying experience (surface and/or underground). Familiarity with total station/data collector survey instruments and a solid knowledge of surveying fundamentals and calculation techniques are required.
A computer literate individual with skills in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word is essential for this role. Excellent organizational and planning skills are also necessary.
