Program Overview
Our Underground Mining Internship is designed for college students who want to explore a career in the mining industry. This program provides real-world, hands-on experience working underground while building a foundation in safe, productive mining practices.
Interns will gain exposure to:
Safety & Compliance: Full MSHA Part 48 New Miner Training, hazard recognition, and accident prevention.
Mining Operations: Understanding production cycles, equipment, and shift work.
Equipment & Maintenance Support: Assisting with inspections, upkeep, and troubleshooting.
Teamwork in Action: Learning how crews coordinate to keep the mine running safely and efficiently.
