Wolverine Crane & Service is expanding in Traverse City, MI and hiring a skilled Service Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, and hoists throughout the Metro Detroit area.
If you are a mechanically inclined industrial technician who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and earning strong overtime pay — while building ownership in the company you work for — we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do
- Perform OSHA/ANSI crane inspections.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- Repair motors, brakes, controls, wire rope, and hoists.
- Respond to emergency breakdown calls.
- Complete professional service documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years industrial maintenance, electrical, or field service experience.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Valid chauffeur driver’s license and be insurable.
- Some of our customers require extensive background checks.
Crane experience is a plus — we will train the right industrial technician.
Physical Requirements
- Requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, and using a lift and other required equipment while diagnosing, inspecting, and performing repairs.
- Able to work with hands overhead for extended period of time.
- Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds from time to time.
