Key Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate automatic spring coiling machines and other metal-forming equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering specifications.
- Mount, align, and secure tooling attachments for each production run.
- Ensure machines run accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining production timelines.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues as needed.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform or coordinate required maintenance.
- Fabricate or modify parts using machinist tools when necessary.
- Support company-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document machine set-up procedures for repeatability and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- 5 years of experience as a Set-Up Technician, Machine Operator, or Manufacturing Technician.
- Prior experience operating or setting up spring coiling machines or similar metal component manufacturing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working on your feet throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with machine maintenance and repair tools.
- Ability to write detailed set-up instructions and technical documentation.
- Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and machine monitoring.
