The plumbing service technician will diagnose and repair plumbing systems, respond to service calls, install plumbing equipment and fixtures, and educate customers on repair and replacement options. You'll have the opportunity to use your technical expertise while helping customers make informed decisions that best meet their needs. Role: Plumbing Service Technician
Compensation: Hourly for PTO, Training, and Holiday - $30.00 an hour
Commission-based: 23% of invoice ticket total
Average Yearly: $80,000-$150,000
Schedule: Monday through Friday, generally 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional early mornings, late evenings, and rotating weekends
Role Responsibilities:
- Plumbing Repairs: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, broken pipes, drain cleaning, and faulty fixtures.
- Service Sales: Educate customers on repair and replacement options, provide accurate recommendations and present solutions that enhance the safety, efficiency, and reliability of their plumbing systems while meeting established sales goals.
- Service Calls: Conduct service calls for emergency plumbing needs, assessing and resolving issues on-site.
- Installation: Install plumbing systems, water heaters, water conditioners, faucets, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and plumbing regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of services performed and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Documentation: Accurately complete service reports, estimates, and invoices.
Required Experience:
- 2 years of experience in residential plumbing service
- 2 years of experience in plumbing sales
- Basic hand tools for daily use
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and enter confined spaces as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Basic knowledge/use of industry standard software (I.E Service Titan, or other related systems)
