What are the responsibilities and job description for the SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER position at Wolfgang & Co?
01 The Role
DESIGN
THE
FUTURE
of sport.
You won't be making another checkout flow. You'll be rethinking what it means to buy the shoe you trained in — the intersection of performance data, personal expression, and the athlete's relationship with Nike Direct.
"We believe if you have a body, you are an athlete. Design for that."
This role sits at the center of Nike's digital direct-to-consumer strategy — the place where brand becomes product, and product becomes a relationship.
02 What You'll Do
Craft & Scope
OWN THE
Whole
CANVAS.
Lead end-to-end design across Nike.com's commerce experience — from discovery to post-purchase. You'll shape information architecture, interaction systems, and visual execution with equal care.
Focus Area Nike Direct Digital Commerce (Nike.com)
Deliverables Research synthesis, flows, prototypes, shipped product
Collaboration PM, Engineering, Brand, Data Science, Merchandising
Tools Figma, Protopie, Looker, custom Nike design system
You won't be a UI merchant. You'll be the advocate for the athlete's experience — in the room with engineering when tradeoffs get made, and at the table when strategy gets set.
We don't design features. We design moments of belief — the instant someone puts the shoe in the bag.
03 The Culture
WIN AS
A TEAM.
Nike's culture is about being on the offense always. You'll work alongside designers who are also athletes, researchers who compete, and engineers who coach youth leagues on weekends.
Nike Direct Design is a creative team that ships. We have a bias for action, a reverence for craft, and a standing weekly critique that gets heated in the best way.
Failure is part of the playbook — because innovation depends on risk. What matters is that you own it and come back faster.
04 Who You Are
What moves you
THE RIGHT
PROBLEM
PLAYER.
You're not here to have a title. You're here because designing commerce experiences at Nike's scale is one of the hardest design problems on the planet, and that sounds like exactly what you want to work on.
Experience 5 years product design, 2 in commerce or marketplace
Portfolio Shipped consumer products at scale (millions of users)
Strength Systems thinking high visual craft, not one without the other
Bonus You play, run, train, compete. Any sport. Any level.
05 The Offer
MORE THAN
A JOB.
Nike's total rewards are built on the premise that an athlete needs to be whole to perform. That means rest, recovery, flexibility — not just salary.
Base Salary $135,000 – $175,000 depending on level
Equity RSUs vested over 4 years
Product Bonus Annual performance bonus, target 15%
Benefits Medical, dental, vision Nike product discount
