Responsibilities
- Assist with excavation activities, including site preparation and earthmoving using heavy equipment.
- Support concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing processes to ensure smooth, durable surfaces.
- Learn to install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) for structural integrity in concrete projects.
- Help with framing, formwork, and layout reading based on blueprints and schematics.
- Participate in masonry work specifically retaining walls.
- Support demolition, restoration, renovation projects, and general site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment.
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and heavy equipment operation.
- Experience or interest in rebar installation, concrete finishing, and formwork techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., hammers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
- Knowledge of masonry is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work; ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
