Job Overview
The Children's Center is seeking an Infant Teacher to care for children 6 weeks to 18 months for our fall program starting the end of August 2026. This is a full-time position, 32 hours per week and includes center benefits. The position reports to the Infant/Toddler Coordinator and works well with the Infant and Toddler team. This position requires flexibility with schedule and great communication skills.
Duties
- The infant teacher is responsible for direct supervision and care of children and collaboration with Infant team members.
- The infant teacher should understand infant development and create a nurturing, safe and clean environment for children.
- The teacher should work with the infant families to give best care and meet the family's needs.
- The teacher should offer age appropriate learning activities and communicate effectively with families.
- Candidate should attend professional development opportunities and staff meetings. Although not required, attending strengthen families or other volunteer activities are greatly encouraged.
Skills
- The preferred candidate will have at least two years of relevant early childhood experience and meet the state requirements for a ECE Infant Teacher.
- An Associates degree is preferred and must have minimum of 9 ECE credits
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
