Patient Care Technician
We are currently looking to add a full-time Patient Care Technician at the Wolfe Surgery Center in West Des Moines.
The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for a blend of many duties within the Surgery Center.
Responsibilities include:
Clerical
- Putting patient charts and discharge instruction packets together
- Dissembling charts after discharge
- Data entry
- Calling physicians’ offices for History and Physical Examination information
Patient Care
Housekeeping
One year of Medical Experience is required
Early morning availability is required

EOE
- Help patients to restrooms.
- Obtaining vital signs or EKG and reporting results to nursing staff.
- Under the direction supervision of the nursing staff, obtain blood glucose levels, patient urine HCG and admissions/discharge of patients.
- Helping with OR room set-up and turnovers.
- Transporting patients.
Housekeeping
- Stocking rooms daily and checking supplies
- Assisting the OR with room turnovers and setups.
- Properly disinfecting stretchers, chairs, bedside tables, and monitors.
- Changing wall suction containers and/or needle boxes as needed.
- Remove linen/trash from recovery room and bringing it to the proper receptacle.
One year of Medical Experience is required
Early morning availability is required
