As a Warehouse Associate, you will sort incoming gears and fixtures for distribution to different job sites; pick up delivered shop owned tools and equipment; pick up supplies for Journeyman and Wireman’s needs on job sites; repair and maintain temporary power units and lighting; manage supply warehouse receivables and perform general facility maintenance.

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Independently manage daily warehouse operations.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments from suppliers.
- Sort incoming gears and fixtures for distribution to different job sites.
- Track and manage tool and material inventory through an online inventory management system.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Field Foreman to schedule and deliver job site materials.
- Pick up delivered shop owned tools and equipment.
- Pick up supplies for Journeyman and Wireman’s needs on job sites.
- Build and deliver temporary power assemblies as needed; repair and maintain temporary power units, equipment, and tools.
- Prepare and stage materials for upcoming projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate with supply houses to accomplish tasks.
- Performs general maintenance of facility, lawn, and fleet vehicles by location.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment which includes keeping all materials, tools and equipment and overall warehouse organized.
- Handle documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory
- Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches, drills etc.
- Must demonstrate safe work habits according to Wolfe Electric Company, Inc.’s policies and procedures.
- Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.
- Experience and comfortable driving a pickup truck with a trailer as necessary to deliver or return equipment and materials.
- Operate forklift and other related construction equipment.
- Read and interpret instructions and maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site, directions, and written instructions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Possess a willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude and sense of urgency as necessary for project support.
- Attend all Wolfe Electric Company, Inc’s training classes, including but not limited to O.S.H.A., ladder safety, forklift etc.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills both verbal and written.
- Effectively listen.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Position requires working in all elements inside and outside, depending on job location, and time of year to include heat, cold, rain and snow.
- Employee must always have required tools with them.
- Climb and work from all type of ladders.
- Perform work at various heights, up to 60’ from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas.
- Wear PPE (Personal Projective Equipment) to include Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs in required areas and Work Gloves.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
- Constantly move on feet and seek out additional work if needed.
- Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.
- Must have experience driving a fork lift.
- Able to work up to 40 hours per week and overtime as required pending project schedule.
Travel Required
- Local to job sites between Omaha and Lincoln Warehouses/Offices
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of Forklift operation experience.
- One (1) year or more of experience driving a pickup with a trailer
- Experience in construction preferred but not required.
- One (1) year experience in warehouse support preferred but not required.
- Online inventory management experience preferred but not required.
- Intermediate understanding of shipping labels and freight claims.
- Basic math and measuring.
- Ability to read, speak and understand English to be able to comply with Safety Regulations, State and Local Electrical Code requirements as well as communicate effectively with co-workers, supply warehouses, office staff etc.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- If applicant is offered a position, they must pass an employment physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
- If applicant is offered a position, they must pass a background check.
Licenses
- Must provide a valid and current Nebraska driver’s license or ID.
- Employee will be submitted for consideration to be insured by Wolfe Electric Company’s Inc’s Liability Insurance company.
