Position: General Maintenance Technician- MUST DRIVE OWN VEHICLE TO CARRY TOOLS- GAS REIMBURSEMENT.
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance the General Maintenance Technician will assist with completing those jobs assigned on a daily on-going basis via service order.
Duties:
1. Responsible for the timely completion of service order assignments.
2. Responsible for timely and accurate completion of necessary documentation.
3. Responsible for maintaining a “standard kit” of supplies and equipment at all times.
4. Responsible for keeping vehicle used in performance of duties in proper condition and appropriately clean during working hours.
5. Responsible for keeping borrowed tools in proper condition and returning them in a timely fashion.
6. Responsible for keeping personal tools in proper condition and working order.
7. Regular and prompt attendance
8. Ability to work cooperatively with others
9. All other duties as required by Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
This position requires and individual who:
1. Is committed to stable, full-time employment;
2. Will work occasional, appropriately compensated overtime.
3. Is able to schedule his/her own time that so that assignments are completed.
4. Has reliable vehicle, clean DMV, auto insurance, and own tools.
Skills Required:
First and foremost, a General Maintenance Technician must be able to assist with making general repairs at a competent level; able to complete assigned jobs within the time frame stipulated.
A General Maintenance Assistant must have the ability to adapt to changes in priority so that deadlines are met in a timely fashion.
Ability to read and write English, ability to communicate with Property Supervisors regarding status of individual job; legible handwriting.
Other Requirements: All employees are expected to dress and behave in a professional manner.
