DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing all Wolf Trap Opera daily schedule and facilities and coordinating general company management and artist services.
- Supervising the WTO Daily Schedule, and take responsibility for its creation, management and dissemination.
- Collects information from the various constituent groups, and uses independent judgement to prioritize requests based on WTO goals, rehearsal space availability, and other WTO and Foundation considerations.
- Works closely with Director, Artistic Operations and Company Manager to execute WTO internal events; staffing, event set up and hospitality needs.
- Assists with setup/strike for opening night parties, seminars and pre-show talks. Manage all incoming mail and distribute as necessary.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Opera or related field plus 2-4 years’ experience in production administration within a professional arts organization.
- Knowledge of opera, strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Must be self-motivated, detailed oriented, and highly organized.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, and the capacity to seek and synthesize information.
- Must be available to work 40-50 hours, six days a week including evenings and weekends, from May - August.
