We are seeking a skilled and reliable Manual Machinist/CNC Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating both manual and CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong attention to detail, ability to read technical drawings, and experience working with a variety of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up manual mills, lathes, and CNC machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Load raw materials and perform machine setups and tool changes
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments
- Perform quality checks on finished products
- Maintain clean and safe work area; follow all safety procedures
- Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Other duties as assigned, and overtime as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- 2 years of experience preferred operating manual or CNC machines
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools
- Familiar with G-code programming and CNC control panels (Fanuc, Haas, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred
- Experience in a job shop or custom production environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
