Retail Inventory Specialist (Multi‑Site)
Job Summary
The Retail Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across two retail locations. This role focuses on daily inventory activities including scanning items into the system, performing physical counts, and completing daily inventory reports (“dailies”). The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Scan all incoming inventory items accurately into the inventory system
- Ensure all products are properly tagged, labeled, and entered into the system
- Maintain real‑time inventory accuracy across both store locations
Physical Counts & Dailies
- Perform daily spot inventory checks (“dailies”) to verify on‑hand quantities
- Conduct regular cycle counts and scheduled full physical inventories
- Identify, document, and report discrepancies or inventory variances
- Assist in investigating causes of shortages, overages, or errors
Receiving & Transfers
- Receive and verify shipments against purchase orders or invoices
- Coordinate inventory transfers between store locations as needed
- Ensure proper storage and organization of back‑stock areas
Reporting & Communication
- Update inventory records promptly and accurately
- Communicate inventory issues or trends to store management
- Maintain clear documentation of counts, adjustments, and corrections
Compliance & Organization
- Follow company inventory procedures and best practices
- Support audits and internal inventory reviews
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient stock areas
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail inventory, stockroom, or operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable performing repetitive scanning and counting tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time across two sites
- Reliable transportation between locations
- Basic computer and handheld scanner/POS experience
Preferred
- Experience with inventory management systems or POS software
- Multi‑location retail experience
- Loss prevention or audit experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 40–50 lbs
- Comfortable working in stockrooms and sales floor environments
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full‑time or part‑time (based on business needs)
- Regular travel between two store locations
- May include early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on inventory schedules
Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
